I gave up on writing poems
I’ve been ashamed of this form
Since I talked to three hundred people about my thoughts
And it came out
Half of them once had these thoughts I have
So who am I to state they’re mine

Writing poems
Is like showing off
Look, I’ve got so many unsaid thoughts to say
That I can write in verses

Prose is versatile
For good morning and good night
For chit-chat and for confessions
You don’t need excuses to write prose
You’re not obliged to write meaningful prose

Like you’re obliged to write meaningful poems

But confessions
They seem to be greater than they are
If you write them in verses
